Free Grassy Narrows, our partner in Canada, supports the Asubpeeschoseewagong First Nation in northern Ontario. Between 1962 and 1970, a paper company heartlessly dumped 9,000 kg of untreated mercury into their river system, resulting in one of Canadaโs worst environmental disasters. For more than five decades, the people of Grassy Narrows have been fighting urging the government to address the mercury crisis. Look towards the future and imagine what freedom looks, feels and smells like, and support the First Nations community of Grassy Narrows.
